We enjoyed staying at the campground for the summer. It is convenient to Rapid City, Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park and everything that we wanted to explore in the area. The staff was Great! The grounds were clean and well taken care of. The restrooms and laundry rooms were clean. Also, the Breakfast and Dinner were Great at the event center.
We had a Great Summer!

Location, location, location!
We stopped here for 2 weeks to explore the National Parks in SD.
First, the rv park. Be on the email or text message thread. They keep you up to date on all activities and hours of operation. We had a 47 ft rig. Plenty of room in our pull thru site. The pool and hot tub were warm in September! Laundry is in 3 different buildings, cost $3.50 a load. There is a playground and dog run. There is a small gym. Food is served for breakfast and dinner. The store does have alcohol and wood!
My recommendation for the park is just having the rec center open for public use. Like gathering area to play games, without coming during the food hours and eating.

We stayed for 13 weeks. During our stay we encountered some issues with ourRV and we received helpful advice and was loaned some tools to get things fixed. The staff was great and hard working, constantly buzzing around maintaining the property. Very reasonable rates and super friendly staff.Clean pool and hot tub
We will return in the future.

This is one of the CLEANEST campgrounds I have ever been to! Impeccably maintained in all areas. Stop is very friendly and give lots of great advice about the area. The campground is located and the perfect spot to explore all the Black hills have to offer, plan to stay extra long because there is so much to do and see!

Clean park. No shade at all and no mats are allowed due to them trying to grow grass so our site was gravel and dirt. It was fine for a short stay.

Great few days staying at Heartland while exploring South Dakota's Badlands. A very clean, very well run, very well maintained park with long pull-throughs. They even offer a great hot breakfast in the Activity Center to get your day off to a good start! Staff couldn't have been more friendly also and the restroom/shower/laundry facilities (3 of them!) are all kept spotlessly clean.

No wonder Heartland is so popular, this will certainly be our RV park of choice next time we are in the area!

Best Campground we have stayed in on our journey out west. Super nice staff. They were there to answer any questions one might have. Maintained very well. Laundry and washrooms were very clean. Had a great time at the event center listening to the band that was playing. Would definitely stay here again. Convenient to all the sights.

Staff are friendly and helpful. The campground itself is well maintained. The bathrooms and showers are the nicest we have encountered during our travels across country. The location is south of Rapid City but perfect for quick access to Custer State Park, scenic roadways, and area attractions. Great value and location.
