Heartland RV Park and Cabins is very easy to find. Located just 14 miles south of Rapid City on Hwy 79. Main gate is located on Hwy 79, 1/2 mile south of the intersection of Hwys 79 & 36.

We enjoyed our stayed in the Hermosa area and here at Heartland and exploring Custer State Park, Mt. Rushmore, and Needles Hwy along with watching the work on the monument of Crazy Horse along with so much more. The RV park is wonderful.
Pros- the club house has day/night activities. To many to list but many that cater to all ages.
Leveled, wide, long sites on gravel and grassy areas along side your rv.
restroom and laundry rooms
Pool and hot tub
Friendly, helpful staff

Cons- very noisy from the highway. Rte 79 runs alongside the park and sitting outside and hearing trucks, and traffic in a beautiful park with rolling hills all around is terrible. Maybe the state or park could put up a sound barrier wall like they do on major highways. One side of the park has a berm and that did help a little but we weren't on that side.

Our family came to visit and the cabins were perfect for a family of 5 while we had our rv to relax at after a day of exploring. The grandchildren really enjoyed the pool, the clubhouse (bingo).

Stayed here July 26th. I had a low tire and Ricky from the park came by to add air ! Food service on site and live entertainment were a hit. The Staff

We enjoyed our time this RV park
The nightly entertainment was fun and nice to have something extra to do
The only negative I would give is that it is newer for trees so very little shade

Stayed here 5 nights on the way to an RV rally and enjoyed it so much that we came back on the way home and stayed another night. Highly recommend this

Spent a few days at Heartland RV Park. They are conveniently located to Mt Rushmore, Deadwood and many other places we wanted to visit. The park is well maintained and the staff are outstanding. We were surprised to learn the Event Center offered food and drinks, albeit a limited menu. Nevertheless, the food was very good and reasonably priced. In addition to eating at the event center, the staff will provide for pickup or, deliveries to your RV. If we are in the area again we will be sure to stay at Heartland. The bathrooms and showers were immaculate. The laundry had multiple washers and dryers and plenty of room to fold clothing. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Excellent stay with our trailer. Good service and food at the Event Center for breakfast and the pulled pork was fabulous. Friendly staff. Would stay there again anytime. Our pup enjoyed the dog yard. Laundry was clean. Didn't use the shower rooms though. So I don't know about them. Enjoyed the planned events they had there.

We have been traveling for the past two months from East Coast and South Dakota was one of our stops. After some search, we decided on Heartland RV Park. I must say, the staff couldn't be any nicer. Very helpful and even helped me jump start my tow truck. The rest rooms were very clean and the park was overall very clean and organized. Highly recommend this park as it is also very central to most of the local attractions.

We loved this RV park. The staff was extremely welcoming and provided many suggestions for area fun. The office itself is well stocked with necessities. The sites were clean and easy to enter/exit. Loved the bathrooms. So clean!!!!!! They had events every night at the event center (music, free wine tasting, taco night, etc.) Very convenient location to Custer State Park, Needles Hwy., Mt. Rushmore, & Hot Springs (cute town). Highly recommend this place for a relaxing and easy camping experience.

Heartland RV Park is very close to many of the gotta see sites in and around Rapid City SD. The staff are very attentive to keeping the Park clean and assisting with your needs. We attended the parks live music by local artists and had a great time. We had breakfast at the park several mornings. The staff was alway kind and attentive. We would look forward to staying at Heartland again.

Lots of fun activities planned. The restaurant was good. The people who worked there were incredibly friendly and nice. The showers and bathrooms were cleaned everyday and very accessible.
