Heartland RV Park and Cabins is very easy to find. Located just 14 miles south of Rapid City on Hwy 79. Main gate is located on Hwy 79, 1/2 mile south of the intersection of Hwys 79 & 36.

Heartland RV Park in Hermosa, SD is hands-down one of the best base camps for exploring all the Sturgis area has to offer—especially during the legendary Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Its location makes it easy to ride or drive to rally events, scenic Black Hills destinations, and nearby attractions without the hassle.

From the moment we pulled in, the spacious and well-kept campsite impressed us. The park’s events brought guests together in such a fun, welcoming way, and the food in the event center was absolutely delicious—perfect after a long day of riding.

The facilities are outstanding: spotless restrooms and showers, a convenient laundry area, and grounds that are clearly well cared for. The staff is top-notch—friendly, accommodating, and always ready to help make your stay even better.

If you’re planning a trip to the Sturgis area—whether for the rally or to enjoy the incredible rides and attractions year-round—Heartland RV Park is more than just a campground. It’s the perfect home base for your Black Hills adventure, and we can’t wait to come back!

We had a wonderful 5 night stay at Heartland. This is our 5th time we have stayed. A wonderful clean and organized park. They are centrally located and close to all the attractions.
An added feature is the breakfast that is served every morning for a nominal fee. They also have great entertainment Friday and Saturday night with food and a full bar every night. There are also plenty of other activities. They have also added a pickelball court.
The staff is phenomenal and there to serve your every need! I highly recommend Heartland for your Black Hills visit!

The park is clean and well maintained. it was convenient to the attractions in the area. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food in the café was very good. I would stay again.

We stayed a week here and really enjoyed it. The cabins are comfy the showers are great. They also have a breakfast and lunch spot on site that is awesome.

Nice RV park. Our pull thru site was a nice size for our 44 ft 5th wheel. Clean bathrooms, showers and laundry rooms. All the staff were very nice and helpful. Activities planned every night from live music to bingo. I definitely recommend this park. Close to a lot of attractions and parks.

Stayed here for 5 nights, we had a great time, they are centrally located to Badlands, Wind cave and Custer. I would definitely recommend Heartland RV Park!

This was an awesome campground. It was clean, well maintained and the staff was super helpful. We attended a wine tasting and it was fun. Good walking for the dog.

We stayed 6 nights for Sturgis motorcycle rally, in a pull through spot with electric. Great price, Great location. The bathhouse was very clean. The club house had good food. The pool and hot tub were a plus. I highly recommend this spot.

The camp hosts are extremely attentive and maintain a clean environment.
Hats off to Rickey & Denise (camp workers), they make sure you feel at home.
